Navigating large documents in Microsoft Word can cause frustration, particularly when you are trying to make notes, link ideas, or create references. When I was writing my 100 page (yes PAGE!) portfolio I was constantly scrolling up and down through tons of pages trying to find the section I needed to refer back to. The struggle was real and I decided to see if there was a work around for endless scrolling.
Yes there is, and it's incredibly simple!
Step 1
Make sure the document you want to mirror is open and click [VIEW] on the toolbar

Step 2
Click on [New Window] and a second screen will pop up with the exact same document

Step 3
Split screen with both versions of your document and you can now refer to an earlier part while writing or editing!
